2011 in Review – Family and Local Business Portraits

I love taking portraits. Some of the faces you will see in the blog post below are new clients, but most are returning clients, friends, their children, or all of the above. One of the greatest joys of my job is having the opportunity to photograph people, year after year, and to witness their lives change and their families grow. To all my portrait clients: thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your photographer. I truly appreciate you and hope to see you in 2012!

1.15.2011 – We start off the year sitting pretty with a few professional portraits of Beth. Winter is a good time to update your professional profile photo!1.27.2011 -Kim officially opens her Etsy shop, Moss and Bird. Many of her design ideas are inspired by what she sees in her dreams. Check out more photos from Kim’s session on Facebook. 2.21.2011 – First appearing on the blog as newlyweds in 2008, Michael and Grace make a second appearance in February 2011 with their brand new baby girl, Talia. 2.23.2011 – The third time is just as charming as the first! It’s always a pleasure photographing the talented and gracious architects and staff members at Dull Olson Weeks Architects. 2.26.2011 – Who wants cake?! It was wonderful reconnecting with past wedding clients, Rochelle and Matt, and photographing their daughter, Raleigh’s, first birthday party. 2.27.2011 – Connor turns six months and has grown so much from his first portrait session in fall 2010.3.26.2011 – Kendra and Michael are expecting! 3.26.2011 – Sugar is sweet but not as sweet as newborn Josie.4.16.2011 – I loved meeting little Ryan during a family portrait session with his parents, uncle, and grandparents. We first photographed Ryan’s parents, Heather and Chris, at their wedding in July 2008. 4.20.2011 – I’m always flattered when friends ask me to take their portrait! A headshot for my smart and lovely friend, Erin. 5.02.2011 – Kendra and Michael welcome baby Miranda. 5.04.2011 – A fun session with Matt, Marian, and their daughter, Olivia, on Mt. Tabor. 5.16.2011 – These two ladies make the best handmade books and boxes in all of Portland. Yay for handmade and yay for Hinged Strung Stitched!!!07.04.2011 – It’s always a joy to photograph the Sawyer and Morrison families. These two families have grown a lot since the first time we photographed them in August 2008. 7.07.2011 – A memorable portrait session with our dear friends, Gretchen and Henry. 7.15.2011 – Sara and Scott celebrate their newlywed status with a sunny day session on Sauvie Island. 07.25.2011 – I’ve been lucky to photograph Jen & Dan every year since their wedding in 2008. This wonderful family continues to grow. Welcome their newest family member, Jonah!8.18.2011 – An action-packed session with the Tantuco family at Peninsula Park. 9.01.2011 – Beach hair is the best! Grace and Talia smile pretty at their Arch Cape family portrait session.9.26.2011 – Back on the East Coast, we spend a morning with the beautiful Snead family get to meet our second cousin, Ella, for the very first time. 🙂10.19.2011 – Ray is all smiles, but means business during his October professional portrait session. 10.21.2011 – Connor turns one!  10.22.2011 – Emily and Mark warm up a chilly fall morning during their portrait session in SE Portland. 10.31.2011 – We end 2011 by welcoming baby Elias!
