Julie and Stephen’s Late-Summer Engagement Session

It’s been a busy year for us. In fact, it’s been so busy that I haven’t had an opportunity to blog many of the wonderful portrait sessions that we did during the summer months. Fear not! I plan on doing a Summer Portraits Wrap-Up blog post in the near future so I can show you what we’ve been up to in addition to photographing weddings. In the meantime, I want to share an engagement portrait session of which I’m particularly fond. Julie and Stephen live on the east coast and wanted to do an engagement session with us before their wedding on September 3rd of this year. As fate would have it, the only time that we were all available to do a session was on August 31st, only three days before their wedding! I normally don’t book an engagement session so close to the wedding date. However, since it was our only opportunity for a pre-wedding session, we went for it, and I’m so glad we did. Julie and Stephen’s session was perfection. I don’t know if it was the light, or the bikes, or Julie and Stephen’s warm, laid-back personalities that made this photo session so magical. Makes me wish summer had stayed around a little longer. Alas, I guess that’s why we have photographs; to help keep alive the memory of days gone by.
