Why do I love photographing weddings? The moment pictured below is one big reason. Real joy. When I met with Sarah and Matt for a planning meeting in July, I knew that we were on the same page when Sarah told me that one of the most important photos from their wedding day would be the one posted below. At that moment, I knew that I absolutely had to nail this shot! I also understood that Sarah and Matt valued the little snippets of life that are unique to a particular time and place; moments that cannot and were not meant to be recreated. The jitters, the smiles, the tears, the joy, the unexpected, and the people that they love most in this world are what made Sarah and Matt’s wedding a pleasure to document. Congratulations, Sarah and Matty! Wishing you immeasurable joy in your life together.

The vertical black and white of her Sarah and her parents starting the walk down the aisle is beautiful! One of my favorite wedding images I’ve seen in a while!
Thanks for the comments and kind words! Amber, the flashes are mounted on stands. You can’t see the stands in most of the photos because we stood them against a black beam or because we shot into the flash a lot that night. Eddie, the talented Mike Grippi http://mikegrippi.com shot the photo that you were admiring. He was our third shooter for some of Sarah and Matt’s wedding and he did an outstanding job. 🙂
